Following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the overriding images portrayed by the media left lasting negative impressions within the African-American community both regionally and nationally. As a result, the Louisiana Office of Tourism wanted to tell positive, inspirational stories of African American heritage throughout the state and help restore Louisiana tourism.
SOLUTION:
Develop marketing and advertising strategy for the creation of a new product, that would motivate audiences to come discover the rich complex culture found in Louisiana including the stories and locations of inventors, musicians, authors, and craftsmen who helped shape the physical and spiritual space in which Louisianan’s live today. Louisiana’s African American Heritage Trail — A Story Like No Other.
The campaign extends into print & broadcast advertising, microsite, mobile application, collateral, outdoor and out of home.
